Operations Manager

About the role

The role drives the operational backbone of a high-growth technology organization, bridging the gap between strategic vision and daily execution. The position focuses on optimizing cross-functional workflows, implementing scalable internal tooling, and ensuring engineering, product, and business units remain aligned on key milestones. This role owns the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal operating systems. Working remotely from Atlanta, the successful candidate will eliminate operational friction, manage resource allocation, and leverage data-driven insights to scale the organization's delivery capacity.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and scale standard operating procedures (SOPs) across engineering, product, and business units to minimize operational friction
• Administer and optimize internal operational tooling, including JIRA, Confluence, Asana, and Slack integrations, to improve team collaboration
• Define, track, and report on key operational performance indicators (KPIs) and SLA metrics for executive leadership
• Facilitate cross-functional project planning sessions, managing project backlogs, resource allocation, and dependency mapping across distributed teams
• Identify process bottlenecks through quantitative workflow analysis and implement structured remediation plans
• Manage external vendors, SaaS subscriptions, and operational budgets to ensure resource efficiency and compliance

Requirements

• 4-7 years of operations management, program management, or management consulting experience in a high-growth tech environment
• Proven track record of designing and scaling complex, cross-functional business processes from the ground up
• Advanced proficiency with project management platforms (JIRA, Asana, Monday.com) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, or advanced Excel)
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Research, Engineering, or a highly analytical field
• Bonus: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or experience with SQL and workflow automation tools like Zapier
