About the role
CookUnity is expanding beyond delivery to become an ever-innovating marketplace focused on empowering chefs to nourish the world. As an Operations Manager II, you'll be responsible for providing a best-in-class experience to both our eaters and our chefs.
Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight - Monitor real-time operations to ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Address and resolve operational issues promptly to avoid operational disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Sealed Meals Per Hour, Labor, and Food Safety Compliance.
- Act as the first escalation point for on-ground teams.
- Labor Management / Scheduling of associates / ensuring they are briefed and aligned on daily objectives.
- Supervise and support team members during operational hours, and coordinate effective shift handovers.
- Resource Management - Ensure optimal staffing during peak and off-peak hours.
- Identify and report any resource gaps to senior management.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting - Track and analyze performance metrics during shifts.
- Prepare end-of-shift reports summarizing activities, issues, and resolutions.
- Identify areas for operational improvement and propose solutions.
- Maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams, including IT, Customer Support, and Quality Assurance.
- Relay updates and changes in processes to team members promptly.
Requirements
- Bilingual (English & Spanish Fluency)
- Experience in cold storage (preferred), operations, logistics, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in relevant tools and software (e.g., operational dashboards, reporting tools).
