Operations Manager

Oversee the daily operation of the Distribution and Logistics departments within the branch, ensuring smooth planning, implementation, and control of the effective and efficient flow of goods and services from origin to consumption.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the facility, including supervising team members, monitoring expenses, and overseeing P&L functions.
• Create and ensure a safe workplace, promoting a culture of safety for the facility.
• Partner with internal leadership (Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, Logistics) to maximize profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead and manage warehouse department processes to align programs with company business goals and objectives.
• Optimize organizational resources by defining, planning, and developing strategic and long-range goals with the Operations Director.
• Establish operational standards for cost control, safety, and complete on-time delivery.
• Build and develop a strong team of employees.
• Analyze and propose methods for sustained productivity increases.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized warehouse.
• Ensure safe working conditions, including proper safety training for employees.
• Effectively counsel and manage employees on attendance, performance, and/or misconduct.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines, including OSHA Standards and DOT regulations.
• Oversee the Transportation Department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated management experience in Warehouse Operations.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and operational processes.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal OSHA safety and FMCR regulations.
• Experience managing in a unionized work environment is a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills, with a commitment to company values.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel); AS 400 experience is a plus.
• Experience with forklift certification and inspection, hazmat certification, and operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.).
• High comfort level working in a diverse environment.
• Open to direction, collaborative work style, and commitment to getting the job done.

Pay

$88,000 to $105,000 based on geographic location, education, and experience.
