Operations Manager

About the Role

The Outbound Operations Manager at Arvato manages daily production and distribution activities for the entire facility. This role requires a thorough understanding of the customer requisition process, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, reliability, and cost objectives. The manager will oversee front-end staff, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills to maintain seamless operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust processes to meet production schedules, due dates, priorities, shipping requirements, and handle peak volumes.
• Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality, while ensuring compliance with production, quality, reliability, and safety standards.
• Provide support and training on company policies to employees.
• Monitor time and attendance records of direct reports.
• Develop employees through performance reviews, ongoing training, and by managing the hiring process, evaluations, disciplinary actions, and performance counseling.
• Execute all business review preparation, responsible for all action logs and items resulting from business reviews.
• Serve as key communication link between operations and all customers.
• Create or use existing metrics to verify operation is under control.
• Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations.
• Follow and maintain 5S Program and guidelines.
• Perform any additional tasks to ensure an efficient, safe, clean, and goal-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Ability to function in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment.
• Experience developing, motivating, and leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

• Customer service and operation experience.
• Proven leadership capabilities with ability to interact easily with individuals at all levels and functions, both within and outside the organization.
• Motivated, analytical, and articulate.
• Proactive in driving improvement processes.
• 1-3 years of experience with SAP.
