ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead day-to-day operations across production, scheduling, maintenance, quality, and logistics to meet customer requirements.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that support business growth, cost efficiency, and productivity improvements.
- Monitor facility KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement) and ensure performance meets or exceeds targets.
- Partner with the Quality department to maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 certifications and drive customer satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements, fostering a strong safety culture.
- Optimize resource planning, staffing levels, and workflow across departments to ensure capacity aligns with demand.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S) to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Manage budgets, control operational costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with HR on talent acquisition, training, performance management, and employee engagement strategies.
- Partner with executive leadership on long-term strategic planning, capital investment projects, and scaling operations.
- Act as a visible and hands-on leader, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all levels of the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations or manufacturing management, preferably in surface coating, finishing, or related industries.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams and scaling operations in a high-growth manufacturing environment.
- Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, KPIs, and operational performance metrics.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and supply chain management.
- Proficiency with ERP and HCM systems for scheduling, reporting, and workforce management.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards, with prior experience leading compliance efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, implement process improvements, and build high-performing teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Solid knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulatory compliance (OSHA, environmental, etc.).
