Operations Manager
About the role
The Operations Manager oversees Plant Operations and ensures efficient labor practices. They lead, train, and supervise the Production staff and manage the Plant. This role involves purchasing supplies, consulting with various departments, and adhering to company policies.
Responsibilities
- Provides direction to Plant Operations and implements changes to improve labor efficiency.
- Supervises and trains the Production staff, managing the Plant.
- Schedules and manages the purchasing of linens, garments, and processing supplies.
- Collaborates with engineering, sales, and service management to maintain smooth plant operations.
- Ensures compliance with company production policies, procedures, and standards.
- Establishes and maintains departmental budgets, handles hiring, discipline, and employee relations.
- Follows instructions, attends meetings, and performs other tasks as directed.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of business management experience in a production environment.
- Strong supervisory and management skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
- Recognizes colors, sizes, and types of product.
- Accurately counts, adds, and subtracts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Comprehends and follows directions, possesses good time management skills, and is a team player.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
