Operations Management Trainee (Acme)
About the role
Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC is seeking individuals to join their fast-paced manufacturing facilities in Green Bay, WI. The role involves completing a 12-18 month rotational intensive program that introduces employees to beef processing, serving as a foundation for their career. This is a hands-on position focusing on production activities, manufacturing millions of pounds of beef annually.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside supervisors and employees in different departments to learn and positively impact production operations.
- Accept delegated responsibilities and duties with the goal of eventually becoming a manager.
- Work with other managers to plan and direct the work of the organization.
- Evaluate work output using company reports to analyze efficiencies, profit, and inventory activity.
- Identify trends and recommend proactive or remedial action to manage business situations.
- Train and develop management skills while leading and motivating others.
- Supervise, direct, develop, and train employees within manufacturing.
- Interpret, apply, and enforce company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rules.
- Ensure the production and delivery of high-quality products in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Foster an environment conducive to achieving continuous improvement.
- Attend presentations, meetings, classes, or training and create projects or presentations.
- Interact with vendors, suppliers, or customers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 years of prior supervisory experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, and write).
- Post high school training or currently enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
- Good math skills; must be able to calculate yields, efficiencies, etc. and pass math test if required.
- Ability to travel to different plants or locations at times.
- Ability to work different shifts, weekends, and overtime.
- Ability to work in a variety of work environments with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Willingness to relocate to any of the facilities throughout American Foods Group.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
