Operations & Maintenance Technician III - Coater

ManagementPart-time
We need to output only HTML fragment, using

for section headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must include sections only when posting has real specific content. No placeholder headings. We need to extract content. Let's parse the posting. First paragraph: description about MWD, recruitment for eligibility list, positions open. That's about the role? Could be "About the role". We'll include a section About the role with prose. Then "As an O&M Tech III Coater, you will apply advanced industrial coating expertise..." That's also about role responsibilities. Could be part of responsibilities. Then "What You'll Do" bullet list: Protect Utility Assets, Prepare Surfaces, Apply Advanced Coatings, Mix Materials, Maintain Gear & Equipment, Support Facility Operations, Maintain Safety Equipment, Ensure Compliance. That's responsibilities. Then "This job announcement has been designed to indicate the general nature..." That's generic, maybe not needed. Then "To view the full job description click here: O&M Tech III - Coater Employment Standards Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: ..." That's qualifications. Then "Experience and knowledge as demonstrated by practical application..." That's also qualifications/skills. Then "Relevant Experience is defined as: ..." That's qualifications. Then "Certifications, Licenses, And Registration Requirements Employees in this position may be required to obtain and maintain the following certifications, licensing and registrations: Valid Drivers license ... Manlift Certification Forklift Certification Respirator certification Crane Certification" That's qualifications or requirements. Then "CLOSING Benefits: Competitive compensation Excellent medical, dental, life, vision plans. Deferred compensation in the form of a 401(k) plan (with matching contribution) and a 457 plan. Retirement benefits under the California Public Employees' Retirement System Tuition reimbursement Training and advancement opportunities Excellent working environment For more information on MWD benefits, please use the following link: Benefits Regular FT PT Employees (Represented)" That's benefits. Then "About Mwd ..." That's about the organization, maybe not needed but could be "About the role"? Actually "About Mwd" is about the employer, not required but could be included as "About the role"? Probably not needed. The instruction: Use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can include About the role, Responsibilities, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits. Possibly Requirements (maybe same as Qualifications). We need to avoid duplication. We must not include Pay or Schedule unless specified. No pay or schedule given. So omit those. We must not include boilerplate like EEO, application instructions, etc. Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. So we need to strip out the eligibility list explanation, sponsorship, etc. Also remove "Application Filing Period: Closes at 4:30 pm PST..." etc. Also remove "Qualifying Experience: Your resume must at a minimum include..." etc. Also remove "Sponsorship: Applicants for employment..." etc. Also remove "About Mwd" maybe? It's not boilerplate but it's about the organization; could be considered part of About the role? Might be okay to keep as part of About the role? But the instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." Could combine About the role and About MWD into About the role. But we need to preserve all substantive information. The About MWD paragraph describes the district, its mission, etc. That's substantive. Could be placed under About the role or maybe a separate section "About the organization". But only allowed headings are those listed; we could use About the role to include both role description and organization info. That seems acceptable. We must not repeat the job title as a heading. So no heading for Operations & Maintenance Technician III. We must not put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings. Now construct HTML. We'll have:

About the role

... combine initial description and About MWD paragraph.

Responsibilities

  • ... each bullet from What You'll Do.

Qualifications

... combine Minimum Qualifications, Experience and knowledge, Relevant Experience, Certifications, Licenses, And Registration Requirements.

Maybe also a Skills section? Could split skills out of qualifications. But we can keep qualifications only. The instruction allows Skills heading if we have specific skills content. We have skills: surface preparation, coating methods and application techniques, tool use and light equipment operation, preventive and corrective maintenance practices. Could put under Skills. But we need to avoid duplication. Let's decide: We'll have Qualifications (education/experience) and Skills (specific skills). Benefits separate. Thus:

We must not include any placeholder text like "commensurate with experience". Not present. We removed boilerplate: eligibility list explanation, application filing period, qualifying experience, sponsorship, EEO, etc. Check for any leftover boilerplate: The initial paragraph included "This recruitment will be used to build an Eligibility List*". That's maybe considered boilerplate? It's about the recruitment process, but it's substantive? It's about the nature of the posting. Might be considered boilerplate but it's specific to this posting. The instruction: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." Eligibility list explanation is not exactly those categories, but could be considered part of the posting details. However it's not about the role responsibilities etc. Might be okay to keep. But we omitted it in About the role paragraph; we didn't include that sentence. We omitted "This recruitment will be used to build an Eligibility List*". Should we keep? It's substantive about the recruitment. The instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. So we should keep that detail. Where to place? Could be in About the role paragraph. Let's add it. Add after first sentence: "This recruitment will be used to build an Eligibility List*." So modify About the role paragraph. Also we removed the bullet list about positions open numbers and locations; we included them. Good. We also removed the sentence "As an O&M Tech III Coater, you will apply advanced industrial coating expertise to protect and maintain Metropolitan's critical infrastructure. By executing high-quality surface preparation and applying advanced protective coatings across a variety of substrates—including metals, concrete, wood, and composites—you will directly safeguard infrastructure prone to corrosion and wear. This essential position supports our operational core, ensuring long-term water and power reliability throughout our treatment plants, conveyance facilities, and distribution systems." That's also substantive; we omitted it. Should include maybe in About the role or Responsibilities. Let's incorporate into About the role paragraph after the eligibility list sentence. Thus About the role paragraph will contain: At the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, we deliver reliable water to a region with 19 million people—and to accomplish this, we rely on a team of talented employees: innovators, problem-solvers, and collaborators who make it all possible. This recruitment will be used to build an Eligibility List*. There are currently two (2) positions open for Operations & Maintenance Technician III at our Soto Street Facility (2100 N.
