About the role
Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, seeks an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) supervisor to oversee mechanical operations, programming, monitoring, alarm response, or other contracted activities.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and schedule staff to fulfill O&M contractual obligations.
- Program and monitor alarm responses and mechanical operations.
- Communicate with clients and other facility occupants to ensure customer satisfaction and enhance opportunities for securing "contract extras."
- Maintain and update all assigned systems.
- Develop and implement an employee training and development plan.
- Provide regular management reports as requested by the O&M team and the client.
- Be available 24/7 for telephone assistance and emergency response to the facility.
- Ensure compliance with all city, state, and federal licensing and certification requirements.
- Maintain and submit all records and documents to proper authorities.
- Review all work and assure performance in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience.
- Five or more years of experience in operations and maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and their operation.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Able to manage and train entry-level personnel.
- Able to deal with customers and others at all levels.
- Knowledge of JCI procedures and policies.
- Able to be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment.
Qualifications
