Operations & Maintenance Site Operations Supervisor

About the role

Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, seeks an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) supervisor to oversee mechanical operations, programming, monitoring, alarm response, or other contracted activities.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and schedule staff to fulfill O&M contractual obligations.
• Program and monitor alarm responses and mechanical operations.
• Communicate with clients and other facility occupants to ensure customer satisfaction and enhance opportunities for securing "contract extras."
• Maintain and update all assigned systems.
• Develop and implement an employee training and development plan.
• Provide regular management reports as requested by the O&M team and the client.
• Be available 24/7 for telephone assistance and emergency response to the facility.
• Ensure compliance with all city, state, and federal licensing and certification requirements.
• Maintain and submit all records and documents to proper authorities.
• Review all work and assure performance in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience.
• Five or more years of experience in operations and maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and their operation.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Able to manage and train entry-level personnel.
• Able to deal with customers and others at all levels.
• Knowledge of JCI procedures and policies.
• Able to be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment.

Qualifications
