Operations Leader

About the role

Petco is dedicated to improving lives by supporting pets and their owners. As a Key Holder, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Pet First: Uphold Petco's animal care standards, ensuring the health, safety, and proper handling of all animals.
• Foster the Fun: Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented service to every customer. Support and supervise store partners, helping maintain productivity and positive morale.
• Let's Go!: Open and close the store while following all cash handling, safety, and security protocols. Support daily store operations including sales, task execution, and recovery.

Requirements

• Previous retail experience required; key holder or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash and transactions.
• Reliable, responsible, and detail oriented.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $18.75 - $28.75 per hour, or as determined by applicable state or local minimum wage laws.

Schedule

Flexible availability to support Petco operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
