Operations Lead
About the role
Flexdrive, a subsidiary of Lyft that offers vehicle access to Lyft drivers through a flexible car rental subscription program, is seeking a passionate, organized, and bold Operations Lead to join our team in Philadelphia. In this role, you will report to the Regional Operations Manager and be responsible for leading a team and overseeing a fleet of vehicles at one of our Flexdrive facilities. You and your team will support the community through Lyft's Express Drive program, ensuring every interaction with Lyft drivers serves and connects.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for your market’s business health and strives to deliver on Flexdrive OKRs by frequently analyzing market-level data for performance gaps, managing fleet operational costs, and identifying process improvement opportunities
- Lead the team responsible for assisting Lyft drivers through the end-to-end rental process of the Express Drive Program; ensuring all team members are up-to-date on all trainings and processes
- Foster team member growth and development by conducting regular 1:1 meetings and professional development discussions, while coaching through timely and constructive feedback
- Drive high utilization metrics by managing the vehicle supply lifecycle across your market, from in-fleeting to maintenance to decommissioning and disposition, and continually reduce out-of-service vehicle time by swiftly resolving escalated vehicle issues
- Responsible for talent retention and serve as the hiring manager for your local site, including accountability for the onboarding process for new team members
- Build and maintain strong relationships with various vendors and partners, including service providers, collision shops, and internal/external teams, to optimize vehicle quality and turnaround time
- Serve as the primary point of contact for your site’s continued maintenance, security, and safety, partnering closely with cross-functional partners to ensure sites are safe, compliant, and provide a great workplace experience
Requirements
- Passionate about delivering great customer experiences with a strong track record
- 4 years of experience managing a Retail, customer service, or vehicle rental team
- 3+ years managing hard assets in a fleet management business (car rental, FMC, etc) preferred
- Experience managing vendors and partners
- Ability to coach and develop team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and switch between different modes during the workday/week
- Affinity for dashboards, data, and metrics
- A valid unrestricted driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and insurability under Lyft's policy
For this role, candidates must reside in states registered for Flexdrive Services LLC. This role is on-site at a Lyft Flexdrive hub or office location full-time.

Pay
The expected base pay range for this position in the Philadelphia area is $53,860 - $67,320, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus, or benefits. Salary ranges depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
