About the role
The Polaris Operations Internship program is a 12-week paid internship designed for emerging juniors and seniors interested in pursuing a career in the global powersports industry. As an Operations Intern, you will be given impactful project-based assignments, experiencing both larger ongoing projects and shorter-scale projects aligned with business objectives. Interns are placed into one specific team based on interest and business need, such as:
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Direct or Indirect Sourcing
- Material Flow & Logistics
- Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, Supplier Development
- New Product Introduction
- Lean Manufacturing
- Project Management
Primary placement locations include Twin Cities, MN (Medina, Plymouth, Wyoming); Huntsville, AL; and Roseau, MN. Other potential locations are Battle Ground, WA; Fernley, NV; Wilmington, OH; or Vermillion, SD. Embracing adaptability will provide diverse experiences and a broader skill set.
Responsibilities
- Engage in impactful project-based assignments, including both larger ongoing projects and shorter-scale projects.
- Participate in mentorship, weekly functional and centralized learning sessions, networking events, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the Intern Innovation Challenge, presenting creative solutions to real Polaris problems to executive leadership.
- Attend the Early Talent Summit Week, a 3-day immersive experience with professional development, networking, and team activities.
- Engage in community involvement and present a final recap of your internship experience to senior leaders.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field with an intended graduation date between August 2027 - May 2029.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to commit to a full 12-week internship, working 40 hours per week, within one of the following date ranges: May 17th – August 6th, 2027 or May 31st – August 20th, 2027.
- Willing and able to relocate.
- Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
- Must have reliable transportation for daily commuting to and from the office.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word).
Qualifications
- Previous internship/co-op experience or involvement in relevant projects.
- Study abroad or international internship experience.
- Coursework or experience in business strategy, finance, or operations.
- Demonstrated strengths in analysis, creative problem-solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership.
- Exposure to data analytics tools or programming languages.
- Participation in case competitions, business simulations, or entrepreneurial ventures.

Pay
The starting pay range for Minnesota and Washington is $21.50 to $29.25 per hour. Individual pay within this range is determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
Schedule
- 12-week internship, 40 hours per week.
