About the role

The Operations Industrial Engineer Supervisor will develop engineered labor standards for the LMS and lead work measurement studies in warehouses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update engineered labor standards to represent preferred methods for warehouse positions
  • Maintain and update map and work elements in labor management system
  • Monitor labor management system for performance and data integrity
  • Ensure training compliance and appropriate levels of training for employees
  • Develop strategies for continuous improvement of operations
  • Manage indirect time of warehouse employees
  • Ensure facility design supports optimal operations and make recommendations for improvement
  • Oversee implementation of process changes and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Document and resolve quality issues and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop metrics to monitor organizational compliance with processes for quality and productivity
  • Develop and provide instructional classes/presentations to associates on labor standards and process changes
  • Audit incentive programs for accuracy of measurements
  • Assist in developing annual expense and capital budgets for warehouses
  • Evaluate and develop ROI on capital requests
  • Lead project initiatives throughout the organization
  • Develop and lead project plans to ensure successful completion

Requirements

This position requires a bachelor’s degree or better, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong understanding of labor standards. Travel up to 50-75% of the time is expected.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of labor standards
  • Ability to travel and work independently
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Ability to schedule tasks and handle projects with minimal supervision
  • Experience with Labor Management Standards (MOST or MSD) is preferred
