Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose operational issues and implement effective corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Lead the design, execution, and commissioning of Non-D&C capital projects.
- Oversee installation, operation, and optimization of production equipment, including artificial lift systems (jet pump, gas lift, rod pumps) and compression units.
- Monitor workflows, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize field operations to reduce downtime while maintaining safety and cost efficiency.
- Conduct forward planning to anticipate operational risks and implement preventive solutions.
Technical Engineering Support
- Provide real-time engineering support for well sites, facilities, cryogenic plants, and compressor stations.
- Prepare cost estimates and manage Authorizations for Expenditure (AFE).
- Control Non-D&C Capital and LOE budgets, ensuring financial targets are achieved.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, delivering sustainable technical solutions.
- Drive facility optimization initiatives (centralized and on-pad systems).
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, environmental regulations, and industry guidelines (API, OSHA).
Compliance, Safety & Documentation
- Lead Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Participate in or lead incident investigations (RCFA) and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and updated technical documentation, including P&IDs, C&Es, PHAs, and inspection records.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field (required). Degree from an ABET-accredited program (preferred).
- Experience: 3–7 years of experience in upstream oil & gas production or midstream operations. Strong understanding of oil and gas production systems and facility operations.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and their application. Experience with maintenance practices and Mechanical Integrity programs. Proficiency in production systems design and optimization. Experience with hydraulic simulations, nodal analysis, and tools such as Excel, HYSIS, Piper, or ProMax.
- Additional Skills: Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data and identify performance improvement opportunities. Project Management: Capable of managing multiple projects, vendors, and timelines simultaneously. Communication: Strong ability to translate technical insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
