Operations Engineering Lead, SME TS Clearance REQUIRED

About the role

CGI Federal is seeking an Operations Engineering Lead to advance the national security mission through cutting-edge technology. The role requires a passion for technology and a collaborative spirit to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, manage daily workloads, and facilitate escalations for critical event responses.
• Design, monitor, and upgrade technical infrastructures, control rooms, and production/facility systems to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement preventive and condition-based maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Act as the final authority on technical decisions during outages, incidents, or equipment failures.
• Ensure all operations meet regulatory standards, internal cyber security policies, and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 10+ years of experience in systems, networks, databases, and operating systems.
• Deep understanding of systems, networks, databases, and operating systems.
• Ability to quickly identify and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.
• Strong communication skills.

• Security Clearance: TS with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI with CI Poly.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $190,900.00.
