About the role
The Operations Director is responsible for day-to-day operational oversight of a high-volume, 24/7 warehouse distribution center. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations across the facility, including inbound, outbound, inventory control, staffing, and performance management.
Responsibilities

- Own execution of daily, weekly, and monthly operating plans for receiving, put-away, storage, picking, loading, and dispatch.
- Ensure adequate coverage and leadership presence for 24/7 operation, including nights and weekends, through effective scheduling and delegation.
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse leadership teams. Review and evaluate performance of all distribution center functions and direct reports, addressing performance gaps, and taking corrective action to ensure the managers of each functional area are delivering on operating goals.
- Set clear expectations, conduct regular performance check-ins, and support annual performance review processes. Partner with HR on recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations matters. Build a culture of accountability, respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

- Monitor and improve picking accuracy, damage rates, load quality, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Develop short-term plans towards Red Bull’s continuous improvement goals for Cost, Quality, Accuracy, Turn time, Safety, and Environmental Consideration. Assist with strategy across relevant shared service and operations partners to best meet facility goals and priorities.
- Aid the General Manager with acting as the local liaison for internal partners (e.g., Transport, Supply Planning, Sales, Commercial, IT, Finance). Proactively communicate constraints, risks, and recovery plans related to service, capacity, or inventory. Support network-wide initiatives, pilots, and system changes impacting the distribution center.
- Drive standardization of processes and best practices across the site. Lead or support continuous improvement projects (e.g., layout optimization, slotting, WMS enhancements, automation/technology enablement).
- Oversee the training on new processes, policies, and technologies; ensure sustained adoption and compliance.
- Ensure robust contingency plans are in place (weather events, system outages, equipment failures, staffing gaps). Coordinate with the General Manager on strategic capacity planning and long-term infrastructure needs. Serve as escalation point for critical incidents outside of normal business hours.
