About the role
The Operations & Development Coordinator will coordinate mobile spay/neuter clinics across British Columbia, potentially on-site, and help build a high-skill, high-trust mobile veterinary deployment network. Key responsibilities include recruiting veterinarians, RVTs, and assistants, organizing clinic teams, supporting rural and remote deployments, fundraising, and building systems.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and organize veterinary professionals, RVTs, and assistants for mobile spay/neuter clinics.
- Support rural and remote deployments by coordinating clinic teams and ensuring smooth operations.
- Fundraise to sustain the work and ensure the clinics can continue to operate effectively.
- Build and maintain systems to support the efficient and effective operation of mobile clinics.
- Solve problems that arise during clinic days and keep the operations moving smoothly.
Requirements
- Experience in veterinary medicine, animal welfare, fundraising, logistics, field operations, or community-based non-profit work.
- Practical, disciplined, relationship-focused, calm under pressure, and willing to help build something new.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel and work in various locations within BC.
