Operations Department Coordinator

About the Role

This position assists their group in planning and carrying out broad assignments that lead to recommendations for change methods, procedures, or policies. Develops plans and assists in coordinating activities to achieve planned results. May be given full responsibility for planning and conducting assignments of moderate complexity.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the calendar; coordinates meetings and schedules conference rooms and equipment for the group supported.
• Maintains departmental files, dispositions, transmits, and records.
• Gathers, compiles, and summarizes information for various special projects and conducts special studies as required.
• Assists with and performs the analysis of data and evaluation of performance of systems, equipment, work activities, and programs within the area of expertise.
• Performs analysis and evaluation of equipment and uses expertise to solve problems and recommend corrective action.
• Assists in the evaluation of industry proposals, regulations, and guidelines to determine the impact on plant activities, programs, and processes.
• Prepares materials and conducts training on standard and new procedures and processes.
• Determines and recommends courses of corrective action to address existing and emerging situations.

Qualifications

• Technical subject matter expertise within a defined area of expertise.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline OR a High School diploma and 6 years of equivalent related work experience in the area of technical expertise.
