Job Summary
The Data Analyst I supports data-driven decision-making by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to deliver actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Responsibilities And Tasks
- Collect, clean, and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Conduct basic data analysis using statistical methods and tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
- Support data quality initiatives by identifying discrepancies and assisting with data remediation tasks.
- Maintain documentation of analysis procedures, data sources, and results for knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Adhere to established data governance policies and confidentiality requirements.
- Directly support high-priority LEAN and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projects following Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) through collection, processing, and analysis (including trends, patterns) of project data.
- Support collection, processing, and analysis of project data with supervision in support of meeting project deadlines and critical business needs.
- Support analysis of proposed projects and continuous improvement efforts to determine cost-benefit and return on investment.
Education, Experience/Knowledge & License/Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role preferred.
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma green belt is preferred.
Skills And Abilities
- Fundamental understanding of data analysis concepts and statistical techniques.
- Proficiency in Excel and basic experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with querying databases (e.g., SQL) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and ability to present information clearly.
- Problem-solving mindset with willingness to learn and adapt.
