Operations Coordinator, Routing & Dispatch
About the Role
Riverstone Logistics (RLX) is a freight forwarding partner focused on final mile deliveries through dedicated and network models for clients across the United States. The Routing Coordinator will assist in the day-to-day functions of routing, dispatching, and client delivery objectives at a specific profit center. This role monitors motor carrier performance, maximizes productivity, and provides feedback to location management. Additionally, the position supports customer care in monitoring and troubleshooting delivery issues proactively. Most time will be spent in the office or warehouse helping to maximize site performance.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate day-to-day delivery operations, including monitoring morning loadout/check-in, delivery activity, motor carrier needs, and customer service in accordance with client quality and production standards.
- Ensure timely reporting of loadout/returns compliance and motor carrier compliance within industry standards and agreed-upon communication mechanisms.
- Maintain professional working relationships with location management, peers, motor carriers, client employees, and other department personnel.
- Utilize client-specific routing software for route monitoring and updates.
- Communicate with other departments on updates, meetings, and other needs.
- Check in reschedules brought back by motor carriers and process returns through the client’s portal at participating locations.
- Move inventory safely using material handling equipment (as needed).
- Serve as a point of contact for escalations from the client.
- Schedule orders and notify customers of their time windows for next-day delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary based on client requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
- Strong people and operational management skills.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products (Excel, Teams, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with dispatching software (Samsara, Dispatch Track) preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including conflict resolution.
- Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with routing, scheduling, and checking delivery status.
- Ability to embrace new technology.
