Operations Coordinator, Men's Lacrosse
Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Operations Coordinator role supporting the Men’s Lacrosse program. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes competing at the NCAA Division I level.
About the role
The Operations Coordinator reports to the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach and is responsible for the coordination and organization of the day-to-day operation of the Brown men’s lacrosse program. This position assists the Head Coach in all phases of the daily operations and promotion of a Division I intercollegiate men’s lacrosse program.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and organize day-to-day operations of the men’s lacrosse program
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and organizing team travel
- Maintain high attention to detail in all administrative and operational tasks
- Interact positively with student-athletes, parents, alumni, colleagues, and the public
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the welfare of student-athletes
- Independently coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comply with NCAA, Ivy League, and University rules and regulations; report any violations to the compliance office
- Complete annual rules education on NCAA legislation related to recruiting (coaching positions only)
- Maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (certification provided at no cost through the Division)
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 1-2 years of related experience in lacrosse (collegiate playing, coaching, or operations); Division I experience preferred
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (verbal & written) skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, internet, and email
- Knowledge and understanding of NCAA, Ivy League, and University rules and regulations
Skills
- Experience with social media (helpful)
- Prior experience with video editing software (helpful)
