Operations Coordinator

About the role
This entry-level position provides overall coordination to ensure all company goals are met for a particular operation(s) and client(s). The role involves participating in contracting activities with Independent Contractors (IC’s) who provide delivery equipment and transport products from our clients’ locations to designated customer locations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor routes to ensure coverage, IC check-in completion, and on-time execution; communicate status to customers.
- Create routes according to customer requirements.
- Ensure dispatched ICs provide delivery services and communicate changes to dispatch and ICs as needed.
- Monitor the dispatch board to meet customer-requested delivery times and report delays or problems.
- Ensure ICs use the vehicle type requested by the customer.
- Enforce compliance with IC log-in processes and EC-mobile.
- Assist ICs with issues encountered during dispatch.
- Arrange STAT coverage for customers as needed.
- Restructure routes per customer requests to ensure on-time execution.
- Ensure ICs comply with customer regulations for contracted delivery services.
- Assist with IC contracting as needed.
- Complete daily service reports required by customers.
- Create and process administrative reports and paperwork as directed.
- Follow up with ICs to ensure their paperwork is up to date.
- Ensure ICs wear uniform shirts with visible ID badges as required by customers for identification and security.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic experience with MS Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Proactive and resourceful with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize competing tasks or deadline-driven demands.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean, functional vehicle.
- Ability to develop and maintain meaningful business relationships with customers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Qualifications
- College degree or a high school diploma with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Employees supporting Life Science customers must complete a TSA Security Threat Assessment and required TSA security training before performing any function involving unescorted access to regulated cargo. Must obtain and maintain all required Life Science certifications within ninety (90) days of hire. Failure to comply will result in ineligibility to continue in the role.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
Schedule
- Shift Days: Tuesday through Saturday
- Shift Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Availability to work extra hours, weekends, and holidays preferred.
Pay
$20–$21 per hour (dependent upon experience level).
