About the role
The Operations Coordinator leads the daily operations of the Recreation and Wellness Center, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent facility operations while delivering an exceptional customer experience. They recruit, train, supervise, and develop a team of 100+ student employees, fostering leadership, accountability, and professional growth through meaningful employment experiences.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, supervise, and develop a team of 100+ student employees, fostering leadership, accountability, and professional growth through meaningful employment experiences.
- Cookout daily staffing, building readiness, and operational logistics, maintaining facility presentation, equipment readiness, and seamless operations across all hours of operation.
- Implement and uphold departmental policies, risk management practices, and emergency response procedures, promoting a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Monitor operational performance through quality assurance initiatives, facility audits, and assessment efforts, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and service excellence.
- Collaborate with Campus Recreation professional staff and campus partners to support programs, special events, technology systems, and strategic initiatives that advance the department's mission and enhance the recreation experience.
Requirements
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification or obtained within 6 months of hiring.
- Minimum Education Level Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum Years of Experience Required: 3 years
Qualifications
- Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/or experience requirement.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
