About the role

The Operations Coordinator for the Department of Anesthesia & Critical Care (DACC) supports the administrative, teaching, and research missions of the department. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and enjoy the operational details that keep a department running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates research initiatives of the faculty and staff.
  • Participates in process and performance improvement by identifying, analyzing, and enhancing existing processes to achieve better outcomes.
  • Captures and distributes the departmental newsletter.
  • Maintains an accurate and up-to-date departmental leadership contact list and Emergency Operations Manual and ensures proper distribution of EOM.
  • Manages updates and front-end maintenance of the DACC website.
  • Coordinates the development and distribution of the departmental newsletter.
  • Coordinates alumni relations activities.
  • Liaises with external presenters to ensure completion of relevant paperwork, arrange travel, process stipends/fees, and gather necessary information for successful participation.
  • Oversees and maintains the physical office space, ordering equipment repairs, upgrades, and office supplies.
  • Maintains the DACC physical asset inventory.
  • Facilitates administrative needs in support of the research mission including the oversight of research space.
  • Monitors finances for the clinical section.
  • Provides management with regular updates and ensures that spending limits are adhered to and are within budget.
  • Acts as a liaison between the section and other University departments.
  • Performs other related work as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
  • Knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Administrative experience in an academic medical institution.

Pay

$65,000.00 - $85,000.00

Schedule

40 hours per week
