Transcendia is a leader in custom engineered materials for critical product components across a wide range of markets and applications. This entry-level position is ideal for a well-rounded professional with 2–3 years of experience in business management and essential accounting knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Audit work orders to ensure production is accurately reported; investigate discrepancies and work with Operations to resolve reporting issues in a timely manner.
- Provide support to Operations and Shipping, including labels, shipping documentation, and other administrative and operational tasks as required.
- Monitor all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable; report any discrepancies to the plant manager promptly.
- Analyze work orders, MOQ, and other data to ensure the company maximizes margins.
- Prepare financial reports and charts daily/weekly as requested.
- Analyze data, summarize information, and identify trends.
- Perform special projects to improve process efficiency and performance as assigned by management.
- Provide timely, relevant, and accurate reporting and analysis of plant performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted, and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making.
- Assist the Plant Manager in identifying non-value-added processes within the plant and seek solutions.
- Maintain office services by organizing operations and procedures, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, and reviewing/approving supply requisitions.
- Approve timecards, make edits as needed, and answer payroll-related questions.
- Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Ensure safety of employees and adherence to all company policies.
- Assist the plant manager with EH&S activities.
- Order office and manufacturing supplies and maintain the Kanban system for critical supplies.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Three to five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exceptional attention to detail, and good follow-up skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with customers.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
- Willingness to work as a team member or independently.
