Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in assisting the Inventory and Production Planning team to maintain accurate inventory levels for efficient production scheduling within a feed manufacturing plant. This position reports to the Central Services Supervisor and is responsible for scaling inbound and outbound ingredients, assisting with inventory counts and adjustments, and creating work orders for mill production.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or production planning; manufacturing or agriculture/feed industry preferred
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in a hands-on, physically active plant environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while in the plant or required areas (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection and steel-toed boots at a minimum)
Qualifications
This position is Monday-Friday with occasional overtime as needed.
