About the role

We are currently searching for an Operations Coordinator to provide administrative support to a high-volume clinical laboratory. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as one of the primary points of contact for visitors and clinical operations; handle requests for information.
  • Assist the Department with organizational tasks (timekeeping, procurement, travel planning, event planning, and meeting scheduling).
  • Maintain conference room calendar.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support and respond to customer needs.
  • Set up, organize, and maintain files and records.
  • Answer calls and route, in order to respond to customers and refer callers to the appropriate subject-matter expert.
  • Enter and retrieve computerized data and prepare correspondence and reports.
  • Complete forms and prepare memoranda and correspondence.
  • Conduct interviews with supervisors and employees to obtain information about organizational missions, function, and work procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing clerical, administrative, and operations support.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, WebEx).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust.
  • Candidates must receive approved adjudication of their Public Trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • Candidates with an active Public Trust or existing suitability are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting, preferred.
  • Knowledge of NIH travel and procurement systems, desirable.

  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact with staff of all levels with utmost professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, an upbeat and “can do” attitude is a must for this opportunity.
