About the role
We are currently searching for an Operations Coordinator to provide administrative support to a high-volume clinical laboratory. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Serve as one of the primary points of contact for visitors and clinical operations; handle requests for information.
- Assist the Department with organizational tasks (timekeeping, procurement, travel planning, event planning, and meeting scheduling).
- Maintain conference room calendar.
- Provide clerical and administrative support and respond to customer needs.
- Set up, organize, and maintain files and records.
- Answer calls and route, in order to respond to customers and refer callers to the appropriate subject-matter expert.
- Enter and retrieve computerized data and prepare correspondence and reports.
- Complete forms and prepare memoranda and correspondence.
- Conduct interviews with supervisors and employees to obtain information about organizational missions, function, and work procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing clerical, administrative, and operations support.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, WebEx).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust.
- Candidates must receive approved adjudication of their Public Trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
- Candidates with an active Public Trust or existing suitability are preferred.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree highly desirable.
- Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting, preferred.
- Knowledge of NIH travel and procurement systems, desirable.

- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to interact with staff of all levels with utmost professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills, an upbeat and “can do” attitude is a must for this opportunity.
