Operations Coordinator

About the role
The Operations job family leads all business operations within a branch location or multiple branch locations within a defined geography and/or product group. This role provides leadership for customer-facing associates and branch functions, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. You will train at the Grand Prairie location for approximately 6 months and may be relocated to another Dallas/Fort Worth area location.
Responsibilities
- Act within the scope of established objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goals
- Maintain inventories, conduct physical inventories, and ensure location appearance under manager direction
- Complete day-to-day paperwork and work with vendors and Ferguson’s shared services division to clear pricing discrepancies
- Facilitate customer credit memos with accuracy based on company guidelines
- Work WMS Variance and Cycle Count Reconciliation
- Develop or implement quality control programs
- Implement operational efficiency improvements, including standardization of systems, quality control, safety, and customer satisfaction
- Review customer invoices for pricing, costing, freight billing, and accuracy
- Oversee facility operations to provide a safe and well-maintained work environment
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety standards and adhere to safety policies, rules, regulations, and procedures
- Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management
- Assist in other areas beyond operations when needed
Requirements
- 1–3 years of sales experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Trilogie is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong decision-making and communication skills
- Knowledge of WMS/HighJump preferred but not required
- Ability to handle stress and work as a team player with a positive attitude
- Understands the importance of customer service

Pay
$18 an hour and up, based on experience. Estimated pay range: $15.00 – $20.63 per hour. This role is bonus or incentive plan eligible.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
