Operations Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
- Cook up crews and logistics to ensure job demands and client requirements are met.
- Work closely with Field Supervisors to complete field orders and support day-to-day operational needs.
- Promote and model a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure alignment between operational activities and EHS systems, processes, and procedures to meet statutory, company, and client standards.
- Identify and report operational risks and hazards; ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Support and participate in the identification, validation, and achievement of drilling competency for operational employees.
- Provide leadership on operational matters including drilling technical issues, drill rigs, and ancillary equipment; ensure competency development is maintained.
- Ensure operational systems, processes, and practices are understood and consistently applied across the division in alignment with global Boart Longyear standards and metrics.
- Act with integrity and consistently represent Boart Longyear’s values and interests.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and Boart Longyear policies and procedures.
- Partner with leadership teams to ensure equipment meets Drilling Standard requirements and client expectations.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to identify and recruit top operational talent.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to support safe and efficient operations.
- Travel as required to support field operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; or diploma in a related field or relevant certification.
- Relevant experience strongly considered in lieu of formal education.
- Must possess a valid drivers license.
- Ability to travel extensively as required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Minimum 1 year experience in project management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Effective time and priority management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and related software tools.
