About the role
The Operations Coordinator supports the Department of Anesthesia & Critical Care in administrative, educational, and research activities. The department focuses on providing exceptional patient care, educating future healthcare professionals, and advancing research and clinical missions.
Responsibilities
- Participates in process and performance improvement by identifying, analyzing, and enhancing existing processes.
- Collaborates with new faculty and other providers during onboarding.
- Manages special projects, events, and functions such as visitor applications and orientations.
- Maintains the DACC website and social media profiles.
- Updates and maintains the departmental leadership contact list and Emergency Operations Manual.
- Follows up on required trainings and recertifications.
- Coordinates alumni relations and visiting professor activities.
- Liaises with external presenters for event planning and logistics.
- Maintains the physical office space and administers research space.
- Supports clinical educational programs and initiatives.
- Facilitates administrative needs for the research mission.
- Performs other related administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in an academic medical environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with central administration in a research university setting.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of academic medical center operations.
