The Operations Associate contributes to the success of the Club by assisting in a variety of operational, hospitality, fitness, and facility support roles. This position provides the highest level of member service, maintains club cleanliness, and demonstrates a positive and professional attitude. It offers experience in all aspects of the Club, enhancing knowledge of operations and hospitality while developing career growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Greet members and guests upon arrival to the Club.
    • Check members in by verifying their membership.
    • Ensure all guests complete a Guest Registration Waiver and pay applicable fees.
    • Book appointments, programs, and class reservations for members and guests.
    • Provide information regarding Club programming and facilities.
    • Deliver exceptional service to retain guests for repeat business.
    • Represent the club professionally through image, dress, and communication.
    • Provide membership sales team with guest/prospect lead contact information.
  • Reception Desk Oversight (if applicable)
    • Operate cash register and process payments.
    • Manage cash and balance cash drawer each shift.
    • Perform opening and/or closing duties.
    • Answer and transfer phone calls.
  • Café Oversight (if applicable)
    • Create and serve food and beverage items.
    • Promote daily specials and encourage upgrades.
    • Operate cash register and process payments.

    • Maintain a clean, safe work environment according to State and Local food safety standards.
    • Required certifications: State Food Handler Certification and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) (if serving alcohol).
  • Pool Deck Oversight (if applicable)
    • Greet members and guests upon arrival to the Pool Area.
    • Act as a Host in designated areas or event spaces.
    • Work with the F&B team to offer food and drinks (serve, place orders, deliver refreshments, ring in tickets, support kitchen, set up/breakdown event spaces, clean-up).
    • Offer seating, make members/guests comfortable, and provide tours of pool deck amenities.
    • Communicate and book appointments for programs and events.
    • Provide information regarding Club programming and facilities updates.
    • Maintain refreshment stations (refill water, stock supplies, keep area clean).
    • Provide towels and assist with towel operations.
  • Parking Garage Oversight (if applicable)
    • Warmly greet members and guests.
    • Check members and guests in by verifying their membership.
    • Audit cars parked in the garage when necessary.
    • Perform opening and/or closing duties.
  • Cleanliness
    • Maintain cleanliness and stock levels throughout the Club (Sports Desk, Locker Rooms, Lobby, Fitness Areas, Pool Deck, and surrounding areas).
    • Perform detail cleaning and preventive maintenance (restock towels, empty/wipe trash cans, disinfect toilets/showers, clean mirrors/lights, vacuum, mop floors, dry mop wet areas).
    • Restock vanity supplies and replenish inventory/janitorial products.
    • Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
    • Assist with laundry functions (collect, wash, dry, and fold towels).
  • Communication and Relationships
    • Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate.
    • Actively participate in required events, programs, meetings, and trainings.
  • Other Job Functions
    • Flexibility in work schedule, including day/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Skills & Knowledge
    • Knowledge of company policies.
    • Written comprehension and expression: ability to read, understand, and communicate information in writing.
    • Oral comprehension and expression: ability to understand and communicate ideas verbally.
    • Computer skills: ability to use club software, email (e.g., Microsoft Outlook).
  • Experience & Education
    • At least one year of experience in the hospitality industry or related service position (preferred).
    • Food Safety certified (if applicable).
    • Professional, friendly manner with excellent customer service attitude and abilities.
    • Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills.
    • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player.
    • Self-motivated, takes initiative, and willing to acquire new skills.
    • Well-organized and detail-oriented.
    • CPR certified.

Pay

Estimated Base Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
