Operations Associate

About the role

Piper Companies is hiring for an Operations Associate with a Life Insurance and Annuities company located in RTP, NC. The Operations Associate will need to be positive, energetic and motivated to create and execute efficient processes in a timely manner. This is a great opportunity for an early career candidate to get their foot in the door within the Insurance and Finance world. The Operations Associate will need to sit on site in RTP, NC 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Intake, review and send-off of new applications that are received daily, ensuring they are successfully transferred
• Ensure that nothing sits idle without attention for any span of time
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company annuity offerings
• Comply with HIPAA, Corporate Integrity, Diversity Principles and Compliance Program policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required
• NC Life License (up to 90 days to obtain)
• 1–3 years of experience in insurance or financial services is preferred, not required
• Strong positive communication skills; ability to work directly with customers of all personality types
• Results- and detail-oriented personality

Pay

$23.00 per hour, full-time, 40 hours per week
