About the Role
NBT Operations Associates play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service. This position involves performing moderately complex operations tasks to support departmental goals, requiring a strong understanding of company policies and practices.
Responsibilities
- Process monetary and non-monetary transactions, including account maintenance, verification, reconciliations, and resolution of exception items.
- Provide support to internal and external customers, cross-train on team duties, and offer coverage as needed.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, focusing on risk and fraud mitigation.
- Maintain service level standards and assist with new employee training and onboarding.
- Perform data collection, verification, maintenance, and input, analyzing information to make processing decisions.
- Prepare reports and furnish information to authorized individuals within and outside the bank.
- Provide guidance to employees on policies and procedures related to operational tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- Professional and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to follow procedures, interrogate data, and demonstrate basic organizational skills.
- Good communication skills (written and oral) and accounting/computer skills preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality results.
Qualifications
- Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing requirements.
- Proficiency in maintaining compliance with laws, regulations, and internal controls.
Skills
- Data analysis and decision-making based on established procedures.
- Customer service and support for both internal and external stakeholders.
