Operations Associate

About the role

Icarus was founded on the belief that the Stratosphere is the Forgotten Frontier and that reclaiming it will define the next era of aerospace and what is possible from the sky. We build solar-powered aircraft that fly at 60,000 ft for weeks at a time, delivering persistent, affordable, and scalable presence from this layer of the atmosphere. Mission Re-establish and maintain dominance in the Stratosphere.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, deliver, and move supplies, equipment, and materials to support office and team operations.
• Receive, sort, and distribute deliveries and packages.
• Keep the office organized, stocked, and presentable, including common areas and supply storage.
• Set up and break down for meetings, events, and visitors.
• Cook up procurement workflows, including vendor coordination and PO tracking.
• Cook up with vendors for facilities and office needs.
• Pitch in across a wide range of operational and administrative tasks that keep the business running day to day.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in operations, logistics, facilities, or a related field.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable handling a variety of tasks and shifting priorities.
• Able to lift and move supplies and packages as needed.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
• Experience with procurement, supply chain, or vendor management is a plus.
• Familiarity with Jira, SharePoint, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Interest in aerospace, defense, or hardware startups is a plus.

Pay

US salary range $65,000 - $95,000 USD. The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
