Responsibilities
We are looking for an Assistant Superintendent to join our Operations team in Richmond, VA, Culpeper, VA, Herndon, VA, or Manassas, VA. This is a full-time, in-person position. Key responsibilities include:
- Execute contract requirements and support the project’s safety, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Exemplify Holder’s commitment to safety and enforce compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Oversee on-site workforces, coordinating daily scope, sequencing, and inspection of installed work.
- Assign responsibilities and collaborate with office and field teams to support project goals and manage risk.
- Manage project site logistics and organize on-site activities to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to associates, supporting professional growth and team development.
- Read and interpret construction design documents and specifications.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction/engineering-related field OR 3+ years of equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication and time management abilities.
Preferred qualifications include experience managing or supporting complex commercial construction projects and familiarity with safety, quality, and schedule management standards in commercial construction.
