Operations Analyst (SOCOM)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, model, and optimize special operations using scientific methods and structured problem-solving
• Advise senior military leadership on strategic planning and resource allocation
• Analyze, validate, and execute information exchange requirements
• Develop and refine analytical models (e.g., SCRAAM) to assess SOF capability and capacity against mission requirements
• Translate operational problems into structured analytic models to measure risks, costs, and effectiveness
• Integrate diverse data sources to assess second- and third-order effects in various operational environments
• Create executive-level briefings and reports to communicate data insights to DoD stakeholders

Requirements

• Data-driven insights and risk-assessment capabilities
• Strategic coordination and liaison activities with communications teams
• Budget execution support, including funding document processing and invoice review
• Technical and application assessment support

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of special operations and their integration within the Department of Defense
• Experience with structured problem-solving and data analysis techniques
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to present complex information to senior leaders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of IT industry best practices and processes for continuous improvement
