Operations Analyst II
About the role
The Operations Analyst II serves as a technical practitioner in areas relevant to the project for the US Army. This role tracks special duty and ad hoc actions, coordinates facilities management, submits work orders, manages internal communications, prepares documentation for equipment purchases, verifies security clearances, provides security access badges, coordinates escort duties, participates in meetings, writes and updates scenarios for operational planning and emergency preparedness, prepares reports, works with the APG IMCOM to update the Army Stationing and Installation Plan (ASIP), attends and coordinates high-visibility visits, develops and presents training materials, and coordinates meetings.
Responsibilities
- Tracks special duty and ad hoc actions
- Coordinates facilities management
- SUBMIT WORK ORDERS IN SUPPORT OF FACILITIES MAINTENANCE AND COMPUTER REPAIR SERVICES
- TRACKS AND MANAGES INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKFLOWS USING SHAREPOINT OR OTHER DESIGNATED SYSTEMS
- PREPARES DOCUMENTATION TO SUPPORT EQUIPMENT PURCHASES AND MANAGEMENT
- VERIFIES SECURITY CLEARANCES, PROVIDES SECURITY ACCESS BADGES, PROVIDES SMO CODE VIA THE DEFENSE INFORMATION SECURITY SYSTEM (DISS) (FORMERLY JOINT PERSONNEL ADJUDICATION SYSTEM (JPAS)), AND COORDINATES AND PROVIDES ESCORT DUTIES
- PARTICIPATES IN RECURRING MEETINGS
- SUBMITS REQUESTS OR TICKETS FOR SERVICE
- WRITES AND UPDATES SCENARIOS FOR OPERATIONAL PLANNING AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
- PREPARES QUARTERLY/ANNUAL REPORTS
- WORKS WITH THE APG INSTALLATION MANAGEMENT COMMAND (IMCOM) TO COMPLETE THE ARMY STATIONING AND INSTALLATION PLAN (ASIP) IAW AR 5-18 QUARTERLY, AND UPDATES THE STATIONING PLAN IF/WHEN THERE IS A GROWTH TO THE ORGANIZATION
- PARTICIPATES IN IPTS AND COORDINATION MEETINGS AND ATTENDS AND COORDINATES ALL HIGH-VISIBILITY VISITS BY CONDUCTING TASKS SUCH AS SCHEDULING OFFICE CALLS, CREATING AGENDAS, ARRANGING TRANSPORTATION, PROVIDING MEAL PLANS, PROVIDING ADMINISTRATIVE AND PROTOCOL EXPERTISE, PROVIDING AUDIOVISUAL SUPPORT, AND PRINTING BRIEFING PACKAGES
- CORRECTS AND ALIGNS MEETINGS, PREPARING MEETING MINUTES
- DEVELOPS MATERIALS OR PRESENTS TRAINING FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Requirements
- REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree
- MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. 10 YEARS OF ADDITIONAL DIRECT RELEVANT TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR EDUCATION
- Demonstrated experience in conducting analysis and developing solutions, and in the application of information technology.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
Skills
- Technical proficiency in relevant IT tools and systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with SharePoint or similar collaboration tools
- Knowledge of security clearance processes and procedures
- Proficiency in writing and updating scenarios for operational planning and emergency preparedness
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Benefits
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
Base salary offers may vary based on factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
