Operations Analyst I, Trading Operations

About the Role
Provide support for a specific Operations team by performing work that is primarily routine in nature and specific to that team. Types of work include data entry (entering, compiling, and validating data), clerical production activities (proof, reconciliation, and posting), and assisting with research and resolving basic problems. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent customer service, and moderate supervision from senior personnel.
Responsibilities
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance
- Understand team expectations and company policies
- Share responsibility for team phone and email coverage
- Provide back-up coverage for various team-specific tasks and responsibilities
- Keep management informed of unusual requests and potential issues
- Assist with general questions and inquiries from customers
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with other departments and lines of business
- Identify potential new processes or applications to increase efficiencies and accuracy
- Accomplish assigned tasks and occasionally exceed job expectations
- Attain expected results reliably, timely, and efficiently
Requirements
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Adaptability to change in a highly regulated industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Basic experience with database query building and/or SQL
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Candidates graduating after August 2026 will not be considered
- SIE certification (or equivalent) is a plus, or ability to obtain within 2 months of employment
