About the role

Performs clerical and administrative functions for hub and station operational areas, including linehaul, records management, quality assurance, and customer service. Tends to damaged and incorrectly addressed packages to optimize delivery time. Serves as a customer's first point of contact for various issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clerical support by photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, and answering telephones.
  • Reviews, researches, and enters data in various systems to support respective functional area.
  • Compiles data and provides regular and ad hoc reports to management for review.
  • Serves as frontline customer service to receive, solve, and escalate customer inquiries and issues.
  • Aids in Business Control Self Assessment (BCSA) audit activity by retrieving data and/or files for review.
  • Supports records management tasks such as maintenance, destruction, and inventory.
  • Additional Quality Assurance/Loss Prevention functions include addressing damaged packages, prioritizing workflow, and researching lost packages.
  • Additional Linehaul functions involve reviewing and entering IC settlement information, compiling DOT-required files, and tracking various metrics.
  • Initial contact for IC inquiries and issues related to settlement, uniforms, decals, etc., and preparing reports for management.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. Previous clerical or customer service experience preferred. General business skills, software skills, and customer service skills necessary. Time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills required.

Qualifications

Knowledge of general business skills such as typing, data entry, and use of phone, copier, and fax. Software skills including use of Microsoft Office and web-based applications. Customer service skills necessary to effectively and professionally respond to requests. Time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.
