Expected salary range of $122,400–$154,000, varying based on experience.
About the Role
Performs advanced technical and engineering problem-solving in support of power plant operations while acting as a resource and technical expert to engineers. Responsible for technical decisions and possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application, including detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
The Generation OT Compliance Engineer ensures Constellation adheres to all applicable generation regulatory compliance requirements, such as NERC CIP for medium-impact BES Cyber Systems and NERC Operations and Planning. Interfaces with groups throughout the organization, including Power, IT, Engineering, and Corporate Security.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of generation NERC regulatory rules and participate in relevant forums.
- Implement NERC Standards, programs, processes, procedures, and best practices for Constellation’s NERC CIP and O&P programs, including medium and low-impact BES Cyber Systems (e.g., performing security patching and vulnerability assessments).
- Perform reviews and provide documentation to verify compliance with assigned NERC Standards Requirements and measures.
- Communicate expertise verbally and in writing through reports, procedures, and proposals.
- Recommend corrective actions for inadequacies while ensuring cross-functional alignment of processes and procedures.
- Apply strong knowledge of industrial DCS, SCADA, OT cyber assets, and networking to interface OT devices with industrial control systems.
- Ensure compliance-related work activities are initiated, executed, and tracked in the Work Management system with documented evidence.
- Participate in compliance audits, including planning, preparation, and execution of audit tasks.
- Engage in cyber drills and actual cyber events.
- Provide analysis and support to leadership for the NERC Compliance program, including performance improvements and compliance-related communications.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical) with 5 years of technical experience or related engineering experience.
- Maintain minimum access requirements and favorable medical examination/testing as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep experience implementing ISO, NERC, and TSA Gas Standards for generation facilities.
- Prior experience at power generation stations.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and determine compliance requirements for ISO, NERC, TSA Gas, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- General knowledge of regulations, guides, standards, and practices for engineering disciplines in power generation.
- Five years of experience in generation plant, electric utility transmission, operations, regulatory, legal, or financial disciplines.
- Ability to multitask, work independently or in teams, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across business units and external stakeholders.
