Operational Language Analyst 1
About the role
The Operational Language Analyst will support operations in Hanover, Maryland, processing voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT Operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks required to process voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT Operations.
- Translate and transcribe audio and written materials from desired languages into idiomatic, standard American English.
- Conduct crypto language processing, including scanning, recovering EEIs, gisting, translating/transcribing, compiling working aids and databases.
- As a primary duty, conduct translation, transcriptions, and gisting.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of full-time experience.
- Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) skill level 2 in audio translation and/or text translation from the required language into idiomatic, standard American English or 2 in listening and/or reading on the DLPT.
- 2 years performing crypto language processing, scanning, recovering EEIs, gisting, translating/transcribing, compiling working aids and databases.
- 1 year of the 2 years as a primary duty conducting translation, transcriptions, and gisting.

Entry level positions require a high school diploma or GED or equivalent from other countries.

Pay
Pay Range: $85,000 to $110,000 full Salary range lowest to highest across locations
