Operational Language Analyst 3

About the role

The Operational Language Analyst 3 supports operations in Hanover, Maryland, and works in secondary locations including Wahiawa, HI, San Antonio, TX, and Denver, CO. The position requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Process voice and graphic language materials in support of SIGINT Operations
• Perform tasks required to process voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT Operations
• Translate audio and/or text materials from the required languages into idiomatic, standard American English
• Provide related language and crypto experience in areas such as target development, network analysis, drafting intel reports, and speaker/language identification
• QC and mentor in crypto language processing for 6 out of 10 years
• Translate, transcribe, and gist for 6 out of 10 years
• QC at ILR level 3 in the target language for 1 year
• Report as primary duty for no more than 3 of the 10 years
• Have 3 years of experience in the target language within 6 years of the resume submission

Requirements

• At least 10 years of full-time experience
• Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) skill level 3 in audio translation and/or text translation from the required language into idiomatic, standard American English or 3 in listening and/or reading on the DLPT
• 10 years in crypto language processing, related language, and/or crypto experience
• Related Language Experience: oral translations, non-crypto audio/graphic translations, doc exploitation, formal teaching
• Crypto Experience: target development, network analysis, drafting intel reports, speaker/language identification
• 6 of the 10 years in crypto language processing must include QCing and mentoring
• 6 of the 10 years has to be in the required language(s)
• If candidate has worked with multiple languages, 4 of the 6 years has to be in performing crypto language processing
• 3 of the 6 years has to be in simply translating, transcribing, and gisting
• 1 year experience QCing at ILR level 3 in target language

Qualifications

• Mid/Senior positions require a bachelor's degree or an additional four years of experience.

Pay

Pay Range: $160,000 to $190,000 full Salary range lowest to highest across locations
