Operation Payment Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Process the weekly AP payment batches and off-cycle payments.
• Enter and execute fund transfers, payments, and settlements accurately and in a timely manner.
• Compile and manage the End-to-End payment processing procedures.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures to safeguard assets.
• Work with Treasury leadership and staff to ensure optimal liquidity.
• Investigate payment status as necessary.
• Prepare short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to support liquidity management.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and deviations from forecasts.
• Act as backup to Treasury Analyst with daily Cash Management operations.
• Monitor daily cash positions to ensure optimal liquidity.
• Aid in the management of cash concentration arrangements and intercompany funding.
• Ensure compliance with US and international payment regulations.
• Absorb and respond to audits by preparing the required documentation.

Core Skills/Competency Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Alternatively, 1 - 2 years of experience in treasury, payments, or accounting roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Banking platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting

• Absorb and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly treasury reports.
• Collaborate with accounting teams to reconcile treasury-related transactions.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline payment processes and enhance efficiency.
