Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid in assessing the needs of military personnel and their families.
- Promote ASYMCA Programs and Events positively to members and the community.
- Facilitate enriching activities and introduce new activities to engage learners.
- Maintain 100% safety in all areas of programming, supervising children at all times.
- Adhere to and enforce all rules and regulations, including those in the Participant Registration Packet and ASYMCA handbook.
- Perform daily visual health checks on children and report suspected abuse or neglect.
- Report accidents and ensure proper form completion.
- Keep a First Aid kit intact, current, and accessible.
- Prepare for all programs in advance, confirming supplies and documenting participant involvement.
- Aid in keeping ASYMCA supplies and materials clean, organized, and accessible.
- Organize and maintain confidentiality of important paperwork and information.
- Welcome new participants, explain programs offered, and answer questions about the organization.
- Attend section meetings and training sessions, stay updated on training information, and renew CPR/First Aid certifications.
- Submit time off requests and timesheets promptly, and secure substitutes for missed programs.
- Resolve issues and communicate program concerns to the CYP Director professionally.
- Be able to lift 20 pounds.
Community Relations
- Work closely with the Civilian Community, Military agencies, Program Donors/Sponsors/Volunteers, ASYMCA Staff, and Liberty Military Housing.
Financial Matters
- Coordinate monthly supply lists and turn them into the CYP Director.
- Manage and use supplies and materials responsibly.
