Operating Room Instrumentation Coordinator - Central Sterile Supply - Mid Shift

About the role
This is a full time position working 11:00am-7:00pm, with flexibility to work 12:00pm-8:00pm or later shifts when needed, at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Implement cost saving measures and cost containment strategies through product standardization and consolidation.
- Access and conduct new product trials.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of the daily QA reporting system.
- Prepare monthly QA report for the Operating Room Director.
- Determine instrument needs and resolve instrument issues by acting as a liaison between the Central Sterile Processing Department and the Operating Rooms.
- Maintain an automated data base of all instruments ordered and received, tracking and recording instrument expenditures for operational budget development.
Requirements
- 5-7 years Operating Room or Central Sterile Services experience.
- Bachelors Degree in health care or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated skill in Materials Management and Information Systems.
