Operating Room Custodial Worker-Environmental Services 80hrs Biweekly Days

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam and 1 year of housekeeping, janitorial, and/or service-based experience
• In lieu of high school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam, 2 years of housekeeping, janitorial and/or service-based experience
• Proficient in the operation and care of equipment normally associated with the department (i.e., high-speed buffer, battery-powered scrubber, wet/dry suction equipment, scaffolding, etc.)
• Successfully complete sterilization technique training within 90 days of hire
• Ability to read and write English
• Experience working in a healthcare setting (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day
• Sit or stand for extended periods
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
• Ability to push/pull 70-150 pounds
• Ability to lift 10-40 pounds
• Requires some exposure to chemicals, bioburden, and cleaning products
