Operating Room Assistant - Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital - Full Time
What You Will Do
- Function as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a Registered Peri-Operative Nurse.
- Absorb responsibility for assisting in general department cleaning.
- Prepare case carts as needed.
- Run errands as necessary.
- Assist with transporting patients.
- Aid in room turnover.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) Card through the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
- Previous operating room support staff role or training as a nursing assistant or other patient contact role is preferred.

The Day Surgery department is an outpatient surgical unit that provides care before and after surgery, heart catheterization procedures, radiology procedures, and GI procedures. Although the majority of patients are discharged the day of their procedure, some are admitted to critical or acute care units. ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial is certified by The Joint Commission as a Joint Replacement Center of Excellence. Offers the MAKOplasty® and Anterior Hip Arthroplasty procedure to patients.
