Operating Room Assistant

Our facility boasts six cutting-edge operating rooms, each specializing in a diverse array of disciplines such as General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pain Management, Plastics, Podiatry, and Urology. Schedule

Monday-Friday, 10:00am-6:30pm. No weekends or holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Support the surgical team before, during and after surgery
• Assist with operating room preparation by cleaning, procuring equipment and opening sterile supplies
• Provide transportation and needed assistance with patient care
• Assist Surgical Techs and Nurses with various assigned duties
• Work as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, surgical technologists and other surgical personnel

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required
• Strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field
• Physical stamina and proper lifting techniques

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospital environment preferred
