About the role
Prismarq LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced OpenText xECM Architect to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise content management (ECM) solutions using OpenText Extended ECM (xECM) for various business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex OpenText xECM solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and other IT teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into robust technical designs and blueprints.
- Design and implement integrations between OpenText xECM and other enterprise systems, particularly SAP (e.g., S/4HANA, ERP, SuccessFactors) using technologies like SAP ArchiveLink, OpenText Business Workspaces, and custom connectors.
- Architect and configure OpenText Content Server components, including content repositories, workflow engines, Smart UI customizations, and metadata management.
- Develop and optimize content lifecycle workflows, document management processes, version control, and records management within the xECM platform, adhering to compliance and governance policies.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on OpenText products such as Content Server, Archive Center, OpenText Directory Services (OTDS), Enterprise Scan, Document Pipeline, and other relevant modules.
- Oversee data migration strategies and execution to ensure seamless transition of content into the xECM environment.
- Define and implement security models, role-based access controls, and integrate with enterprise identity providers for single sign-on.
- Stay current with OpenText product roadmaps, industry best practices, and emerging technologies (e.g., cloud deployments on Azure/AWS, containerization, AI/ML in content management).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to development and support teams.
- Conduct system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, solution presentations, and client discussions as a subject matter expert when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Enterprise Content Management (ECM), with at least 5+ years focused on OpenText xECM.
- Proven expertise in architecting and implementing OpenText Content Server and Extended ECM solutions.
- Strong experience with OpenText xECM integrations, especially with SAP (ECC, S/4HANA), including SAP ArchiveLink, Business Workspaces, and metadata mapping.
- Proficiency in OpenText workflow design, Live Reports, and WebReports.
- Hands-on experience with customization using OScript, Java, JavaScript, .NET, or ABAP.
- Solid understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and other integration technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud deployment strategies (Azure, AWS) for OpenText solutions is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
- OpenText certifications (e.g., OpenText Content Server Administrator, Extended ECM Specialist, Extended ECM for SAP Solutions Certified) are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with other OpenText products such as OpenText VIM (Vendor Invoice Management), Capture, InfoArchive, or Documentum.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for ECM solutions.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
