OpenShift Platform Engineer

Hybrid – Tampa, FL or Dallas, TX (3x/week onsite) Contract to Hire Job Description Deploy, configure, and manage containerized applications on Red Hat OpenShift platforms.Design and implement OpenShift projects, deployments, services, routes, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.Troubleshoot and resolve application, container, and platform-related issues within OpenShift environments.Administer, configure, and support Apache Tomcat servers in development, testing, and production environments.Deploy and maintain Java-based applications on Tomcat, including WAR file deployments and configuration management.Perform Tomcat performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and reliability.Install, configure, renew, and troubleshoot SSL/TLS certificates for enterprise applications and web servers.Manage keystores, truststores, certificate chains, and HTTPS configurations across middleware environments.Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to implement secure and scalable application platforms.Execute end-to-end implementation activities, including environment setup, application deployment, upgrades, and migrations.Develop and maintain deployment documentation, operational procedures, and implementation best practices.Provide hands-on support for production releases, system upgrades, incident resolution, and continuous platform improvements.
